Matthew Hayden is a proud Republican, attorney, and lifelong believer in strong families, safe communities, and responsible government. He is running for Kenton County Commissioner representing District 3 to bring a fiscally conservative, private-sector mindset to county government—one focused on accountability, efficient operations, and measurable results.

Matthew and his wife, Hannah, are raising their three young children in Villa Hills, giving him a deep personal stake in the future of Kenton County. He believes families deserve communities where children can grow up safely, receive a quality education, find good jobs, and ultimately raise families of their own.

A strong local economy is central to that vision. Matthew supports smart, responsible economic development that attracts businesses, creates jobs, and allows residents to build long-term careers without having to leave the community they call home. He is committed to ensuring Kenton County remains a place where families can put down roots and thrive for generations.

Public safety is another cornerstone of Matthew’s platform. He believes families cannot succeed unless neighborhoods are safe, which is why supporting the Kenton County Police Department and Sheriff’s Office with the tools, resources, and backing they need is a top priority.

Matthew holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Economics from the University of Louisville and a Juris Doctor from Northern Kentucky University’s Salmon P. Chase College of Law. He is an active volunteer at St. Joseph Catholic School in Crescent Springs and has long been involved in Republican leadership. Matthew currently serves as the Kentucky Young Republican Federation’s National Committeeman, representing the Commonwealth at the national level, and is an active member of the Northern Kentucky Young Republicans.

Matthew is running to protect what makes Kenton County special and to ensure its best days are still ahead.
